Make it Monday #126

A card for Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #126.
The card base is navy shimmer. I lined up the individual letter dies and guitar die on blue painters tape to use as my sentiment, since the only die cut sentiments I have are christmas words!

February Blog Hop - Papertrey Ink

This month's blog hop for Papertrey Ink is to create an interactive card.  I've decided to start early on Christmas cards this year, so I made a pop-up tree:
I made the pop-up part using a craft knife and ruler.  The pot for the Christmas tree is made from one of the 'Love Lives Here Holidays' dies.  I drew in the tree stem using a Copic Marker, before I glued down the tree.  The base cardstock has silver flecks in it, which don't show up in the photo very well.

I made the front of the card simple:

Supplies:
Stamps: Love Lives Here Holiday - Papertrey Ink
Ink: Evergreen, Java, Cardinal - VersaColor;
Cardstock: unknown
Dies: Love Lives Here Holiday, Tree Trimming - Papertrey Ink
Others: E74 marker - Copic

Make it Monday #54 - Glitter Buttons

** Edited to add a photo of the 'cupcake' socks **
Over at Papertrey Ink the new Make it Monday challenge is to use glitter buttons on a project.  I am going to a baby shower this weekend, so I made an oven:

The oven mitt is made from the glove in the 'Loves Lives Here Holiday' set from Papertrey Ink (PTI).  The tea towel is made from 'Tiny Tags' die, also from PTI.  I found the images for the hot plates by doing a search for 'stove element'.  I have had them for a while, so I don't remember the exact site.  The sentiment was created on my computer (because I don't own Favor it - Baby by PTI).  I didn't come up with the oven idea, I was inspired by this one made By Lauren Meader here.
I didn't have any spray adhesive, so I used double sided tape to attach the glitter.  I just cut out small circles from the tape.
This is the glitter I used:
The underlying buttons are silver for the top knob, and pink for the rest, hence they look different shades of pink once I applied the glitter.  I am going to put some baby socks in the oven, wrapped in muffin liner to look like a cake.

Here is what the 'cupcake' socks look like:

Supplies:
Dies: Love Lives Here Holiday, Tiny Tags - Papertrey Ink
Punch: 1 in square - EK Success (punched twice to make a rectangle)
Others: Acetate, Kraft card stock, ScorPal, Buttons, Glitter

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #85

The current sketch challenge posed by Walztingmouse Stamps is here.  This is the sketch:

Here is the card I created:

I rotated the sketch. Since I made a Christmas card, I kept it to one layer, so it is easier to post!
I stamped the label frame first, then created a mask for it.  I stamped the nordic border over the top and then removed the mask.

Supplies:
Stamps: Nordic Winter, Labels 4 - Waltzingmouse Stamps
Ink: Scarlet - VersaColor
